Hmmm. Well. It is a good idea to know a little bit about the products, it is a good idea to know a little bit about business and it is a good idea to know why you would want to do it in the first place. If you don’t know why, you will get nowhere.
Let’s put it like this. To succeed long-term, you need to become a mentor with a servant’s heart. When you do, people will ask you to “PLEASE sponsor me into your business…” And sponsored distributors are what you need because this is about many people doing a little which, eventually, adds up to a solid income that credits your bank account month after month, for work you did ages ago.
Like artists getting royalties, they did the work once and get paid over and over for it. This is the nirvana. This is why we all do it. This is our focus. And because this is our solid focus, nothing stands in our way. Nothing.
So, what is the difference between our business and a direct sales business. Well, only 10% of the people across the world like sales at all. Most people do not like to be sold to. Is that you? It is certainly me. Direct Marketing is a numbers business. Network Marketing or Multi-Level Marketing is a relationship business. FLP is firmly in the Network Marketing camp and I am pleased to say that it is because you fool nobody.
The fact is, YOU have done network marketing, word-of-mouth advertising, every day, since before you were 5. You told your mother and father what shoes you could not live without, your favorite cereal, shirts, dresses, books, movies, restaurants, all kinds of things. You’ve been promoting since before age 5 but you have never been paid for it… Now you have the opportunity to be paid for it.
What are the benefits of Network Marketing?
When a young person decides to become a doctor, they go to school for 8 years first. They create ZERO income over those 8 years. They just study and go to medical school. Then they get out with a chance to make an income.
In network marketing, you can get educated and build your business at the same time. After 8 years of getting educated and building your business you can be making 10 times the money that a doctor will make…
How to do it.
- Choose a company with consumable products that make a real difference in the lives of people and those they love. Network marketing is a relationship business, and it’s also a TESTIMONIAL business. For your people to be successful with word-of-mouth advertising, they need a strong testimonial, or story, for the products they like.
- Offer great value to the end user (and the value YOU offer includes much more than just your products), which allows you to build a very attractive income.
- Get to know your people. Learn what they really want. Help them formulate their “WHY”. Do everything you can to make them feel so valued & cared for that they’ll be forever loyal. Give them the personal attention, respect & admiration they deserve.
- To succeed long-term, you need to become a mentor with a servant’s heart.
- Everything you do must be replicateable by everyone who follows you otherwise you soon lose them…
Well, this is my take on it. Of course, I could be pushy and say:
There are two types of people in the world:
? => Those who get paid to take vitamins, and
? => Those who don’t.
Which group would you like to belong to?
But it doesn’t work for the reasons stated. Finding the WHY in other people is the key.
